About Medata

Recognized by physicians and medical technologists as the pioneer in direct printing automatic holter and a leader in the digital processing of ECG data, Medata was founded in 1986 by John A. Humphrey Ph.D., President.

Following 3 years of research and development, Medata introduced the UniScan 24 in 1989, the first direct printing dual channel fully arbitrated atrial/ventricular arrhythmia detection holter monitor.

The UniScan 24 was superceded in 1992 by the ProScan SEL direct printing arrhythmia analyzing holter monitor. Advanced arrhythmia detection reporting is incorporated into a compact digital recorder/monitor which also stores the 24 hour full disclosure ECG data.
